World number four Andy Murray has parted ways with coach Miles Maclagan after two-and-a-half years
Murray said, “I’ve had a great relationship with Miles over the past two-and-a-half years and I want to thank him for his positive contribution to my career. We have had a lot of success and fun working together”.
Maclagan announced that it had been a pleasure to work with Murray, and expressed his confidence in the Scot’s ability, saying, “Andy is a great player and I know he will continue to have the success his talent and hard work deserves”.
The Maclagan and Murray partnership has been very successful, and Murray reached a career high ranking of number two in August 2009. Murray’s form has been up-and-down this season, with the Scot reaching the final of the Australian Open and the semi’s of Wimbledon, but failing to achieve much in between.
