The McGladrey Classic is the third tournament in the PGA Autumn series, and is relatively new with the first taking place only two years ago.
The tournament is played in Georgia, USA and last years champion Ben Crane will once again compete. The tournament begins on Thursday running through to Sunday and will be an interesting one for golf enthusiasts who wish to get involved with golf betting on this tournament.
The seaside course at Sea Island Golf Club will also have the 2010 winner present in the field Heath Slocum though neither him nor Crane feature in early golf betting prior to this tournament. Crane is at 33/1 to win again this year with
Stan James and Slocum is even more of an outsider at 45/1 but that could all change once the tournament gets underway.
Prior to the beginning of the tournament Zach Johnson is the favourite at 11/1. The American won the John Deere Classic and Crowne Plaza Invitational this year and won the Masters in 2007 he will be keen to impress on a home course.
He is closely followed in golf betting by Jim Furyk. At 14/1 with
Stan James Johnson’s fellow American golfer could feature though he hasn’t won a tournament since 2010.
Jonas Blixt is coming off a win at the Frys.com Open and will be keen to continue his winning ways here. He is third favourite for victory at odds of 16/1 along with Jason Day. There are many other top golfers competing in this par-70 7,005-yard course including Vijay Singh and Bud Cauley who are priced at 20/1 and 25/1 respectively.
It’s likely that if Zach Johnson doesn’t win the tournament he will nab himself a top five finish and that can be backed at odds of 2/1 with Jim Furyk to do the same at 11/4. Frys.com Open winner Blixt should do well and is priced at 7/4 in golf betting to get a top ten finish which will be the least expected of him after his recent win.

Jim Furyk 14/1
Jonas Blixt 16/1
Jason Day 16/1
