Sligo and Kildare meet in the All-Ireland Qualifiers for the first time since 2001 on Saturday evening in Dr. Hyde Park, Roscommon.
Kildare needed extra time last Saturday night to get past Limerick and Paddy Power have priced them up at 2/7 to win the match. Beaten Connacht Finalists, Sligo are 7/2 outsiders while its 8/1 for this game to go to extra time.
Many Lilywhite fans are backing the winning margins for extra value. Kildare are 11/4 to win the match by 1-3 points and 10/3 to win by 4-6 points.
Sligo fans will be hoping that star forwards Adrian Marren and David Kelly will be on top form. Both players are 15/2 with
Paddy Power to claim the first goal in the game while Alan Costello is seeing support at 14/1.
Former All-Star Eamonn O’Hara – who made a substitute appearance against Mayo in the Connacht Final – firmly believes Sligo can repeat their 2001 defeat of Kildare.
"Yes, we can beat Kildare if we are on our game," O’Hara told The Sligo Champion. "We'll know that when the qualifier starts.
"An awful lot of effort went in this year and it was disappointing not to win Connacht but now we have another chance and it is all about what happens on the day. Limerick are a Division Four outfit and they put it up to Kildare and for a time it looked as though they might beat them.
"We focused solely on ourselves for the past week or so and didn't think about who we might be playing. Obviously, people felt Kildare might beat Limerick and so it proved in the end."
Kevin Walsh has named the same starting 15 for the match with David Maye keeping his place ahead of Pat Hughes.
Kieran McGeeney has made just one change since the Limerick game with Andriú MacLochlainn replacing Ollie Lyons.
