After the highs and lows of the international break, we can look forward to the return of domestic league action across Europe this weekend including live streaming La Liga fare.
David Villa is back to his best according to Spain manager Vicente del Bosque, which is daunting news for Celta de Vigo, whom Barcelona visit in La Liga on Saturday at 1700 GMT. The former Real Madrid manager told reporters after Spain's midweek 1-0 win over France in a World Cup qualifier:
“There has been a change in David Villa, he is exuding a joy and optimism now. He is happy with his form and we have regained the greatest goalscorer in the history of Spain’s national team.”
Prior to that, at 1500, Champions League quarter-finalists Malaga look to end their four-game winless streak when they take on Rayo Vallecano.
Manuel Pellegrini's side have fallen to sixth in the standings as a consequence of that slump and will be eager to find form ahead of next week's last eight encounter with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in Europe's elite club competition.
Real Madrid are in action later in the evening at 1900, as they travel to lowly Zaragoza. The capital side have won seven on the bounce in all competitions and shouldn't expect too much resistance here.
Saturday's other live streaming fixture sees Valencia based Levante host Sevilla at 2100.
The highlight of Sunday's action is surely Atletico Madrid's clash with Valencia at 1900. Los Che travel to Madrid looking for maximum points as they look to close in on the Champions League play-off berth with an automatic qualification place now looking beyond them
Elsewhere on Sunday, we can look forward to seeing Real Valladolid and Osasuna going head-to-head at 1100, Mallorca hosting Deportivo La Coruna at 1600 and Espanyol entertaining Real Sociedad at 1800.
