With the final declarations now out for the Tote Galway Plate, Boylesports have price Blackstairmountain as the 9/2 favourites to claim the spoils.
Willie Mullins, Ireland’s champion trainer, has the favourite for the race in Blackstairmountain. Ruby Walsh will be in the saddle as owner Rich Ricci bids for back-to-back wins in the race after Blazing Tempo won for him last year. His horse, who already has a Grade 1 victory to his name, would not, though, appreciate the anticipated rain at the course in Ballybrit.
Edward O’Grady is one of the shrewdest trainers in the game and he bids to win the race with the Irish Grand National runner-up, Out Now. The 3m5f trip at Fairyhouse probably just caught him out a little in terms of stamina, but many punters will be interested in the 10/1 currently on offer.
To celebrate this historic race,
Boylesports, Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker, will not be beaten on price on every runner in the race between 1-2pm tomorrow.
“Willie Mullins has a great chance of winning back-to-back Galway Plates, but he will not be underestimating the opposition for tomorrow’s showpiece event. The money is starting to pour in for the big race and, with our fabulous offer, we are sure to see our turnover go through the roof between 1 and 2pm tomorrow afternoon ”, commented Leon Blanche, Boylesports Head of Communications to LiveSport.ie.
