The quarterfinal pairings for the quarterfinals of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship have been decided
Following the completion of Phase III and provincial championship matches, the quarterfinal pairings for the All-Ireland Senior Championship have been announced. The matches will take place on Sunday at Croke Park.
At two o’clock on Sunday afternoon, Cork will meet Antrim. Cork were defeated in the final of the Munster championship, losing by 1-13 to 1-16 in a replay against Waterford. Antrim had to qualify for the quarterfinals via Phase I and Phase III. They beat Carlow soundly in Phase I, but almost crashed out in Phase III, where they edged past Dublin, 0-19 to 1-17.
At four o’clock on the same day, Tipperary are up against Galway. Tipperary won a high-scoring match match against Wexford in Phase I, and beat Offaly by 0-21 to 1-12 in Phase III. Galway are here following a 1-19 to 1-12 loss against Kilkenny in the Leinster finals.
