Former Lazio full-back Aleksandar Kolarov has joined Manchester City on a five-year contract
Aleksandar Kolarov signed a five-year contract with Manchester City, and will join Roberto Mancini’s squad from Lazio for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to be around £19 million. Kolarov was granted a work permit, and is officially a City player following the completion
of a medical.
Sunderland also signed a full-back, acquiring the services of Marcos Angelieri from Estudiantes de La Plata for an undisclosed fee. The twenty-seven year old has three caps for Argentina, but missed out on World Cup selection due to injury.
World Cup winner Fernando Torres is yet to discuss his Liverpool future publicly. Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson conceded on Saturday that Torres’s future remained uncertain, but expressed his willingness for Torres to stay.
Stoke City have not revealed any signings recently, though manager Tony Pulis confirmed that he is looking to add to his squad. Pulis stated a desire to add depth, and clarified that funds are available to introduce new faces without the need to sell.
